For almost a decade, High Lite Touring has been responsible for the design, technical engineering, and realization of Beats for Love, one of the largest electronic music events in Europe. With a proven ability to deliver some of the most complex productions in the region, the company has built a reputation as a leader in large-scale stage design and engineering. In 2025, the High Lite Touring team once again proved its role as a key festival partner by delivering the impressive Love Stage. The dominant technical feature of the entire construction was the TAF roof, which combined innovative design, state-of-the-art technology, and maximum safety. Over four days, from July 2–5, the festival welcomed a record 164 000 visitors to Ostrava’s Dolní Vítkovice, who enjoyed performances by more than 550 artists across eighteen stages.
A Structure That Took Everyone’s Breath Away
The Beats for Love Love Stage is among the largest stages built in the Czech Republic each year. In 2025, its dimensions – 246.06 ft. (75 meters) wide and 85,30 ft. (26 meters) high, with a total weight of approximately 661,386 lbs. (300 tons) including ballast – made it not only the visual centrepiece of the festival but also a true technological marvel. The build took nine days, with materials transported in nineteen trucks. Among other things, 1,722.44 ft. (525 meters) of TAF trussing, including such truss systems as GS910, FT44 and FT34, were used to create the roof structure measuring 64.96 x 51.18 ft. (19.8 × 15.6 meters), and the supporting framework for suspending the production equipment.
The TAF roof structure itself, including all components and spans, weighed 14,219.80 lbs. (6.45 tons). Suspended from it was the complete production rigging, comprising lighting trusses, a central LED screen, special effects, pyrotechnics, motors, cabling, and suspension gear — weighing an additional 24,250.82 lbs. (11 tons). The roof was not mounted on legs but integrated into a Layher system at a height of nearly 49.21 ft. (15 meters) above ground level.
Around 100 people contributed to the build, including 70 technical experts and project managers and about 30 assistants. The dismantling process must always be executed in record time, this year it was scheduled for just three and a half days.
Technology That Transported Fans into the Beats for Love Universe
The stage featured 6,265.31 ft² (582 m²) of LED screens, arranged in fifteen separate sections that surrounded the stage and illuminated Ostrava’s night sky. The combination of massive LED displays, a precisely programmed lighting design, and professional sound created full immersion into the festival’s brand-new concept, the Beats for Love Universe.
Ensuring the seamless running of the show was a 44-member team of professionals. This included audio, lighting, and video technicians, audio engineers, light designers, media server operators, laser operators, special effects and pyro technicians, as well as stage managers and stage crew. Thanks to their expertise and dedication, the technology became an inseparable part of the artistic experience.
Innovative Design and Engineering
Delivering a stage of this scale requires not only cutting-edge technology but also perfect coordination across multiple disciplines. High Lite Touring’s strength lies in its ability to merge creative vision with engineering excellence, turning ambitious concepts into safe, functional, and spectacular reality. The work followed a precise sequence from building the main supporting structure and installing the TAF roof, to rigging the sound system and LED screens, and finally fine-tuning the lighting and special effects. Every step built on the previous one and was carried out with strict attention to safety, stability, and visual impact.
“Our goal is always to merge technical know-how with a powerful visual experience. Love Stage 2025 demonstrated that we can push the boundaries of what’s possible and deliver a show that stands alongside the world’s greatest festivals,” said the project manager of High Lite Touring.
The Beating Heart of the Festival and of Europe
The 2025 Love Stage hosted performances by global superstars including Armin van Buuren, Sub Focus, Apashe, Timmy Trumpet, John Newman, and the world premiere of a joint set by DJ A.M.C. and singer Koven. The absolute highlight came with the performance of Axwell, member of the iconic trio Swedish House Mafia.
Thanks to the unique combination of cutting-edge technology and world-class artistry, this year’s edition became a new milestone in the history of the festival, cementing Beats for Love as one of Europe’s leading dance music events.
High Lite Touring and TAF as a Partners of World-Class Shows
The successful delivery of the main stage at Beats for Love once again confirmed that High Lite Touring ranks among the very best in technical production for live events. The collaboration with TAF trussing systems provided a solution that met the highest standards of safety, flexibility, and visual appeal.
With nearly a decade of experience powering the pulse of Beats for Love, High Lite Touring is ready to bring world-class stages to life anywhere in Europe. The 11th edition of Beats for Love 2025 was not only a festival of music but also a showcase of technical precision, teamwork, and engineering excellence. Thanks to TAF’s high-quality trussing systems and High Lite Tourings’s production expertise, the Love Stage became the true symbol of the event quite literally a heart in the palm of the hand, uniting emotion, music, and technology into a one-of-a-kind festival experience.
